Indoor climbing session - Mur de la Chaudanne
Looking for a vertical challenge after a good day in the snow, or a change of scenery on a bad day? Try something different and discover or perfect your climbing skills on the 14-metre-high indoor wall at La Chaudanne. Accessible to everyone, from beginners to advanced climbers, this session is supervised by a mountain guide or climbing instructor, so you can progress in complete safety. The routes are varied and adapted to every level, and can be climbed with a top-roping or lead climbing technique, as you wish. All technical equipment is provided.
Sessions are offered throughout the winter, usually in the evening from 5.30pm (registration with the secretariat of the guides' office).
The activity is open to all, children and adults alike, whatever their level. Youngsters can climb as soon as they can put on a harness, generally from the age of 5 or 6. I offer introductory sessions for beginners, and advanced or autonomous sessions for more advanced climbers.
We meet directly at the Chaudanne centre, in front of the guides' office. We provide all the equipment you need: harness, boots, ropes, karabiners... all you have to do is turn up in sportswear.
Yes, of course! The sessions are scheduled at the end of the day, from 5.30pm, so that everyone can come after skiing. It's also an excellent option on bad weather days or when the snow is scarce.
Absolutely. If you'd like to go into more depth, or simply take up half a day, you can book longer sessions of up to 3 hours.
